Code of Conduct & Institutional Guidelines
1. Students taking admission in DSHM, Kalyani, will remain under the Institute’s proper supervision.
4. Only English communication is permitted within the campus.
5. Students are not permitted to leave the campus during college hours.
6. Class timings are from 11:00 hrs to 16:30 hrs. These may be extended if required by faculty members.
7. Students arriving late without valid reasons will not be allowed to attend classes.
8. Wearing ornaments such as bangles, earrings, rings, cufflinks, wristlets, etc. is strictly prohibited.
9. No excuse for absence will be accepted during Casual Training, Class Tests, or Final Examinations.
10. Consumption of alcohol, drugs, smoking, or any addictive substances is strictly prohibited inside the hostel and college premises. Violators will be taken action against accordingly.
11. During Industrial Training and Placement, students’ preference of location will not be entertained.
DSHM’s management will arrange Industrial Training and Placement through client interviews.
If a student is terminated or voluntarily leaves the job during training or placement, no further opportunity will be provided.
12. Mobile phones are not allowed during college hours.
13. Misbehaviour with others will be severely punished.
14. As per University rules, 85% attendance is mandatory (including 5% medical concession). If this fails, the Institute will not issue the Admit Card for the final examinations.
15. Students must pay an annual subscription for cultural programs.
16. If a student discontinues the course midway, no fees will be refunded under any circumstances.
17. If a student remains absent for 60 consecutive days without a valid reason, their name will be struck off the register.
18. The management is not responsible for any delays related to university matters.
19. Maintaining cleanliness on campus is the responsibility of every student.
20. Students must maintain proper grooming (polished shoes, clean shave, pressed clothes, proper haircut, etc.).
21. Guardians must attend meetings as notified by the Institute.
22. Instalments must be paid by the 5th of each scheduled month via approved payment methods (Cheque/Debit/Credit Card/ICICI Easy Pay/DD).
23. No cash or bank transfers allowed
24. Cheque bounce penalty: ₹1500 fine + ₹500 processing fee
25. Students with attendance below 85% must pay a fine to appear in the annual examination. The Institute will not be responsible for their placement.
26. During 6 months Industrial Training:
- Instalments must be paid in advance via Post-Dated Cheques (PDC)
- 50% of hostel fees must be paid in advance
27. At hostel enrolment, two months’ fees must be deposited as security, adjustable against the last two months.
If a student discontinues, this amount will be forfeited.
28. Students will not be allowed to appear in semester examinations without obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Accounts Section.
. No candidate shall be allowed to appear in any of the semester examinations if he/she fails to get an NOC from the Account Section.
2. Students will not be allowed to enter the class without a proper uniform in both theory & practical classes.
